At The JSSC, we believe in the power of movement to transform lives. In March 2025, we embarked on a special mission that perfectly aligned with this philosophy—collecting pre-loved trainers to give them a second life while helping those in need thousands of miles away.

The Project Run SA Initiative

Our campaign partnered with Project Run SA, a remarkable charity based in South Africa dedicated to providing quality footwear to underprivileged communities. For many recipients, these trainers represent more than just shoes—they’re a gateway to physical activity, improved health, and greater dignity.

Project Run SA works tirelessly to ensure that proper footwear isn’t a luxury but accessible to all, regardless of economic circumstances. Their distribution network reaches deep into communities where such resources can make a tremendous difference in daily lives.

Exceeding All Expectations

When we first launched the collection drive, we hoped for a modest response. What happened next left us truly speechless.

The Jersey community’s generosity surpassed our wildest expectations. Donations flooded in from individuals, families, sports clubs, and local businesses. Even weeks after our official cutoff date, people continued bringing in their gently used trainers, unable to resist being part of this meaningful initiative.

The Final Tally: 168 Pairs and Counting

Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve collected 168 pairs of trainers that are now on their way to South Africa. Each pair represents a new beginning—for the shoes themselves and for the people who will wear them.
