Why Athletes Struggle to Get Enough Sleep & Why It Matters
Sleep has become a hot topic in sports performance lately, and for good reason. Some professional teams are even hiring dedicated sleep coaches to help their athletes get better rest. Changes to Aviva Healthcare Insurance provision in Jersey
From September 1st, Aviva will enforce a nationwide capped fee structure. This represents a large reduction in the fees paid for physiotherapy assessments and treatments. Aviva’s position is non-negotiable. Our small business cannot deliver our high-quality services in our bespoke clinic for such a fee. With deep sadness and shared frustration, we will no longer have a contractual arrangement with Aviva.
Why Strength Testing Matters: The Role of Dynamometry in Your Rehab Journey
we believe that the inclusion of dynamometry is important, – rehabilitation should be precise, purposeful, and rooted in evidence. That’s why every clinic room is equipped with state-of-the-art dynamometers, and for our athletes, VALD Force Plates provide an additional layer of performance analysis. It’s all part of our commitment to being forward-thinking, data-driven, and clinically excellent—delivering care that’s truly personalised and measurable.
Why We Rarely Prescribe Clams ( – And Why It’s Worth Asking Why Others Still Do)
At The Jersey Sports & Spinal Clinic, we’re often asked why we don’t include “clam” exercises in our hip rehab programs—especially for those with hip impingement or FAI Syndrome. The answer is simple: the evidence has moved on. Here’s why we rarely prescribe clams anymore, and what we’re doing instead to get better results for our patients.
