Lisa Mann

Director, Co Founder and Physiotherapist

Throughout her career, Lisa has maintained a keen interest in sports injuries and their rehabilitation. Irish born, UK trained and Jersey resident, Lisa has wide-ranging experience.

This includes the treatment of professional, and elite Olympic and International sportspersons from the fields of rugby, football and athletics. Lisa was the Head Physiotherapist for Wakefield Rugby Union between 2002 and 2004. Lisa was also Head Physiotherapist for Yorkshire Rugby’s U20 and Senior teams between 1999 and 2004. She was part of the physiotherapy team at the Rugby Union World Cup in 1999 when it was hosted in the UK. Lisa left these posts to become the Clinical Lead in a leading private hospital in Leeds. Always, keen to learn and develop, Lisa completed a Certificate in Spinal and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and is working towards her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in the University of Bath.

Lisa was appointed Head Physiotherapist for Jersey Rugby in 2008. The team successfully gained promotion four times in five seasons. In 2012, they were promoted to the Championship, the second tier of English Rugby. Due to family and work commitments Lisa then decided to focus on the JSSC, but is still and avid supporter of all things rugby related but from the side lines now.

Lisa works clinically fulltime and really enjoys the varied caseload. She is passionate about helping clients get better, really better! Naturally a positive outgoing person, she really loves getting to know clients so as to be able to prescribe the right exercises for their injuries and lifestyle.

Outside of work, Lisa is kept busy with their two children, an overgrown garden and a quest to bake like Mary Berry! In recent years, thanks to the restoration of the Work Life Balance, Lisa has got back to activity and is regularly seen running or at parkrun on a Saturday morning. Her claim to fame is that her Uncle Tom McCarthy won the New York Marathon is a time of 2.27. She is ever hopeful that her fast legs will develop soon!

“coming with another injury and worried on its impact to other sports, Lisa was great to ensure I was back even stronger playing sport and was really insightful on recovery and key exercises. I cant speak highly enough of fantastic support provided by her and the team”
