Lisa Mann
Director, Co Founder and Physiotherapist
Lisa is an Irish-born, UK-trained physiotherapist and long-standing Jersey resident with a wealth of experience in sports injury management and rehabilitation.
Throughout her career, she has worked with a wide range of patients, from recreational athletes to elite Olympic and international sportspeople across rugby, football, and athletics. Early in her career, Lisa held the role of Head Physiotherapist for Wakefield Rugby Union and Yorkshire Rugby’s U20 and senior teams. She was also part of the physiotherapy team at the 1999 Rugby Union World Cup, hosted in the UK.
Following this, Lisa moved into a Clinical Lead role within a leading private hospital in Leeds, before continuing to develop her expertise through further postgraduate study. She holds a Certificate in Spinal and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and is working towards a Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy at the University of Bath.
In 2008, Lisa was appointed Head Physiotherapist for Jersey Rugby Club, playing a key role during a hugely successful period in which the team achieved four promotions in five seasons, reaching the Championship in 2012. She later stepped back from this role to focus on family life and growing Jersey Sports and Spinal Clinic, while remaining a passionate supporter of the game.
Lisa works clinically full-time and thrives on the variety her caseload brings. She is passionate about helping people not just recover, but truly get back to doing what matters to them. Known for her positive and approachable nature, she takes time to understand each individual, ensuring rehabilitation is tailored not just to the injury, but to the person and their lifestyle.
Outside of work, Lisa is kept busy with her two children, an ever-ambitious garden, and a determined effort to bake like Mary Berry. In recent years, she has rediscovered her own love of exercise and can often be found running or at parkrun on a Saturday morning. Her claim to fame is that her uncle, Tom McCarthy, completed the New York Marathon in an impressive 2:27 — a benchmark she’s still quietly chasing.
